What is my role here? What is this website trying to achieve? This is my own personal space to explore the fundamentals of comedy and how it relates to my worldview. I shall post my own jokes and comedies here.

Comedy is my favourite medium to express my perspectives and opinions because of its complexity, and versatility. It is enriching and intellectually stimulating to create and see the end results of a work of comedy.

What is Comedy?
Comedy is a genre of dramatic works intended to be humorous or amusing by inducing laughter, especially in theatre, film, stand-up comedy, television, radio, books, or any other entertainment medium. - Wikipedia

Why Comedy?
Comedy is a great expressive medium to navigate the absurdities of life in a creative way. While comedy is mostly made to entertain and humour others, it can be used in ways that is malicious and harmful. That sort of comedy will not be explored on this website.

Comedy and Philosophy
"...It can use humour as a vehicle to explore and question fundamental aspects of human existence. It can offer unique insights, challenge conventional wisdom, and provoke introspection by blending entertainment with philosophical inquiry. Comedy can serve as a powerful medium for engaging with deep philosophical ideas in a relatable and engaging way." - The Philosophy of Comedy, Simon Kirchin.

I'm a huge computer nerd with years of experience using information technology. Computers are practically my life and this website is my outlet to explore and educate others with my passion for comedy.

The Role of The Jester

"In the medieval period, a jester's role extended far beyond mere entertainment. While they did provide comic relief through jokes, physical comedy, and music, they also served as a unique form of social commentary and political influence. Jesters could often speak truth to power, using wit and satire to critique societal norms and even the actions of those in high positions, sometimes without facing severe consequences." - Google AI, picture from about-history.com
